POSTAGE
I usually add on between 25p -50p to the shipping rate to cover my packaging costs i.e. jiffy bags, mailing bags, boxes, labels, printing ink and petrol to the post office – the price varies depending on which packaging materials I use.  To save you money I try and ship in jiffy bags and put this in a mailing bag when shipping overseas.  With some items i.e. china, fragile items & larger items I have to ship in boxes which are more expensive.  Hopefully this will explain how my shipping costs are arrived at – it is not within my interest to make a profit on shipping as my eBay & Paypal fees are on both the cost of the item + shipping.
If you require Trackable Shipping I suggest all customers take out insurance i.e. Recorded Delivery for the UK & ‘Airmail Signed For’ for overseas customers
I can’t be held responsible for loss or damage during transit if insurance is not taken out.  I will provide Proof of Posting to assist you in making a claim
Delivery Information
As a general rule I have found that delivery by Royal Mail to be very good and if you pay for 1
st
Class Post in the UK you will usually receive the item within 24 hours.
Royal Mail aim to deliver to Western Europe within three working days. Eastern Europe takes up to five days and other countries up to seven days, although I have found from time to time that Australia & the USA can take 10/14 days.
However, I can’t be held responsible for the time it takes for Royal Mail to deliver your order.
If your order doesn’t arrive within 7 days please contact me immediately so that I can try to sort this problem for you by trying to trace the order and arrange a replacement.  Please note that Royal Mail’s Policy on non- delivery is as follows

With regards to International Deliveries the Policy states that you should wait 20 days for European countries and 25 days for the Rest of the World.
As you are aware things can go missing in transit, especially round Christmas time, and I would suggest that you take out insurance which I can track online

The cheapest form of insurance in the UK is

and costs an extra £1.10p on top of the original postage charge – I will provide you with a tracking number so that you can track the item online via the Royal Mail website.

International Insurance
The cheapest form of International Insurance is
‘International Signed For’
and costs £5.00 on top of the original postage charge – I will provide you with a tracking number so that you can track the item online via the Royal Mail website. I must point out though, that this will only show you when the order has left the UK – it doesn’t show the progress in another country until it has been delivered.

I accept & prefer payment by Paypal – I do not charge extra for payment by Paypal
I also accept Personal Cheques, Postal Orders & Direct Payments to my Bank Account
Overseas buyers must pay via Paypal
